I finished both Private and Kowalski’s name tags. I’ll post Kowalski’s shortly.
Private’s name tag wasn’t too complicated once I decided what to do. I found a circus sign online and used it to trace the shape into Fusion 360. Fusion has good support for text, so I found a suitable font to implement the name. And, finally, I added posts to match up with the holes originally for the carousel horses.
The glue up was more interesting. I didn’t want to pull the lamp down, though I’ve designed to be doable. So, I flipped Private over and considered gluing in place. The post holes are deep enough to provide some support, but not enough to keep it straight. In Fusion I quickly designed some supports to keep it vertical. The glue up, other than doing it all while standing on a ladder, was without issue.
