Quick 3D Design and Print

I’ve been challenging myself to be able to put quick designs together. This is one such example. I needed a storage box for some hot melt glue gun nozzles. The design came together in less than an hour and under 3 hours to print the two pieces.
There is room for improvement. For example, I want to figure out a better way to put in lettering. For this piece, though not shown in the picture, I dumped some white paint in the letters. Functional, but didn’t look that good. I’ve printed letters separately before and glued them in. They look good, but seem to be more work than they are worth.
In the long term, I’ll get a printer that can support multiple filament in a single print, so I can do this as part of the print, but I’m not in a hurry to spend that money. I suppose, I could also do an embossing layer on the top and just do a filament swap at the very end. That might make the most sense.
