I have a window AC unit in one corner of the garage and it has been since right after we moved in. It helps, but struggles to cool the whole space. I thought, this unit had died and bought a replacement for my den. Then discovered it was failing because the vent in that room…was blocked up with lint and cat hair. So, I put it to good use and now I can run two units during the summer.

In my den, the vent is on the outside of the house in the back. This one had to be in our entry way.
Note, that electrical outlet was also put in at the same time. Now we have outlets on either side of our patio for holiday lights.
