A couple of years ago, I started using paper to cover my work benches. I really like being able to put a fresh cover after doing a project and the paper tends to avoid cruft build up from glue and other things.
To hold the paper down I designed and printed some plastic clips. They mostly worked but they kept getting knocked off or broken. I finally decided to design and print some long L brackets in plastic. I put two holes and put some threaded screw inserts into the side of the bench. Attaching the paper takes a little bit longer, but not by much. Using an electronic screw driver, I can takes these on and off pretty quickly.
