In the span of a few months, I did several upgrades to the shop lighting. The biggest difference was buying these lights from Costco. I didn’t like that they aimed downwards. The light always seemed to hit you right in the eyes. So, with a little work, I reversed them to aim upwards. It made a dramatic improvement. I ended up installing 4 and may install a couple more.
As part of this effort, I had to crawl around the attic adding wiring points for the new lights. At the same time, I upgraded almost all of the Fluorescent lights to LEDs. In the end, the garage was a lot quieter and a lot brighter. It significantly increased the usability of the space. That along with the new benches has opened the door to do more, smaller projects.
